Virginia Elite has 4 athletes that have earned Washington Post All-Met honors including the 2021 Player of the Year!!  The Washington Post makes its picks for the D.C. area's top athletes in every fall sport.

This year we are excited to congratulate the following athletes:

2021 Player of the Year:

Akasha Anderson, OH, Sr., Herndon (Virginia Elite 18s)

No player was more instrumental to their team’s success than Anderson, who carried the Hornets to their first state playoff and state final appearance. The Auburn-bound senior finished the season with 670 kills and 377 digs. As a six-rotation player who could shift momentum from the front or back row, Anderson was described as a “Terminator” by multiple opposing coaches.

2021 All-Met Second Team:

Riley Debiec, OH, Sr., Bishop O'Connell (Virginia Elite 18s)

2021 All-Met Honorable Mention:

Sarah Malinowski, OH, Sr., (Virginia Elite 18s)
