To offer a program that provides motivated junior volleyball players the ability to compete at the highest level by developing nationally recognized teams, enhancing visibility of our athletes, and facilitating college recruitment opportunities.
To provide the highest quality volleyball experience through a program of individual development that produces players capable of competing successfully at the collegiate level.
Based on its core values, VA Elite seeks to provide a positive experience for each player in an environment where they can grow and develop, both as a player and a person. We recognize that doing so requires the engagement of all members of a great club: coaches, players and parents. We seek coaches, players, and parents who are committed to creating an “ELITE” experience for all members of the club. We believe that this ELITE team experience exists at the intersection of our core values, as portrayed below:

Core Values
Each of the five dimensions is important to the experience of each pillar of the club. In order to promote a great experience VA Elite has committed itself to engaging players, parents, and coaches in a collaborative effort, that is owned by our members and facilitated by professional support. As we enter a new season VA Elite will pursue programs aimed at all members:
Coaches:
A positive coach player relationship is critical to the quality of a player’s experience. Coaches must not only be technically competent (hence our commitment of CAP certification, and technical training) they must also be good leaders and communicators. VA Elite is committed to providing and developing coaches who exhibit our core values. We want coaches who care about the individual and collective development of their teams, coaches who see winning as a means to an end; that end being players who have the confidence, capability, and commitment to succeed as college volleyball players. To ensure that we can provide quality coaching, VA Elite is building on the coaching leadership program that it initiated last year. Our program this year is designed to strengthen leadership and communications skills of our coaches by:
· Establishing a leadership framework (core values and competencies)
· Establish position profiles and metrics for all positions
· Baseline all coaches with regard to a professionally administered Behavioral Assessment
· Establish and align coaches development plans with values, competencies and behaviors
· Establish leadership coaching and accountability program throughout season
We will be conducting leadership seminars for coaches in November and December and have enlisted the assistance of a professional leadership cadre to assist us.
Each coach will participate in a leadership assessment, receive leadership coaching, and work with an accountability partner throughout the season.
Players:
VA Elite recruits exceptionally talented athletes for its teams. While we work to turn their exceptional athletic talent into college-level volleyball talent, we recognize that their development and ability to be successful in college and in life goes beyond learning to pass, set, and hit. In order to develop players who can be an effective member of a high performance team, VA Elite will expand its program on team enhancement by expanding a series of player seminars on dealing with the stresses inherent in highly competitive situations. These seminars are designed to teach tools to cope with stress and communications techniques that enable players to develop positive relationships with their teammates. We have engaged a professional mediator to assist with this effort.
Parents:
At VA Elite, we believe that parents are vital partners in the success of our players and our team. We want parents who share our commitment to these core values and we seek to engage them in a positive way rather than pushing them to the sidelines. We seek parents who want all players on the team to have a positive experience and who are prepared to be an integral part of our efforts to provide it. This year, We will build on the successful work that we have done over the past three years with PGS (Promoting Good Sports) to enhance the engagement of parents with the players and the coaches. On December 11 we will devote a half day to helping parents plan for their important role in the club.
