Casey McCartney
12s Head Coach
A proud parent of one of our very own Madison McCartney, Casey McCartney returns to Virginia Elite now as the Head Coach for the 12s team. After supporting her own daughter’s volleyball journey, Casey chose the Virginia Elite program for its strong environment and the high level of training it provides. Casey brings more than 20 years of volleyball experience to Virginia Elite. She previously spent four years with the club as a Clinic and Floater Coach and is currently in her fourth year as the Freshman Volleyball Coach at Yorktown High School.
As a player, she has been involved in the sport since high school, competing both collegiately and later through recreational leagues and outdoor doubles. Casey competed for Georgetown University, where she was a four-year starting setter and team captain. Prior to college, she played club and high school volleyball in California, taking on multiple positions including right side, outside hitter, and middle blocker.
Originally from Walnut Creek, California, Casey now resides in Arlington, Virginia, and works at Yorktown High School.
