Welcome to the 2026 Fall MIDDLE SCHOOL ACADEMY & League!!!
Welcome to our 18th year of Virginia Elite Fall Middle School training! This is a great way for young athletes to train and learn the fundamentals of volleyball in an instructive, fun and competitive environment. They will learn and practice all skills (Passing, Serving, Defending, Setting, Attacking and Blocking) with two weekday sessions dedicated to technical instruction. Then athletes will put into practice what they have learned with league competition days on Saturdays.
Already an advanced player? Perfect! We are adding an invite only elite session to our middle school league that will occur from 9:30 -10:30 on Fridays, following our regular league sessions. Earn your way into these sessions by showing what you can do throughout the league, and get a taste of what the competitive side of Elite is all about.
We are looking forward to a successful kick-off to year 3 of our Fall Middle School Academy League!
Session Information
Upon registration, athletes will be assigned a number that will remain with them throughout the duration of the program. Every 2 weeks athletes will be drafted onto teams. During that 2 week period they will train (weekdays) and compete (Saturdays) with that team. After 2 weeks, athletes will be redrafted to new teams and will continue training and competing with the new teams. There will be 4 total drafts throughout the program.
Athletes will earn individual points on competition days (Saturdays) based on how their teams finish that week. Points will be tallied cumulatively and leaderboards will be sent weekly to academy participants. Upon the conclusion of the 8-week academy, the top 3 individual point earners will be awarded.
The academy kicks off on Wednesday, September 2nd and conclude on Thursday, October 22nd (see note to the right).
Registration Information:
Participants will sign up for one of the 2 groups below. Athletes will attend their assigned time throughout the academy. The draft process will not change their session times.
All participants are eligible to receive an invite to our weekly elite session throughout the duration of the league. This extra session is included in the price of registration.
Group I:
- Wednesdays & Fridays
- Wednesdays: 6:30PM-8:00PM
- Fridays: 6:30PM-8:00PM
- Saturdays: 10:00AM-11:30AM
Group II:
Wednesdays & Fridays
- Wednesdays: 8:00PM-9:30PM
- Fridays: 8:00PM-9:30PM
- Saturdays: 12:00PM-1:30PM
NOTE: In order to accommodate CHRVA region tryout dates for the 14 and under age group, the final week BOTH GROUPS will have training on Tuesday (10/20), Wednesday (10/21) and compete on Thursday (10/22). The timing for this week is as follows:
- Group I:
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 6:30-8:00PM
- Group II:
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00-9:30PM
Invite-Only MS Elite Session: Friday Night Lights

Academy & League Registration Cost :
Registration $775
Athlete Age: This program is open to athletes going into 6th-8th grades for the upcoming school year.
Registration includes: 2 weekday training sessions, Saturday competition day and a t-shirt.
Draft Process:
- Initial Draft: Athlete number assignments and initial draft information will be sent via email with draft numbers posted on both VA Elite social media and this website page by Tuesday, September 1st
- Draft 2: Information will be sent via email and posted to VA Elite social media and this website page by Sunday, September 13th
- Draft 3: Information will be sent via email and posted to VA Elite social media and this website page by Sunday, September 27th
- Draft 4: Information will be sent via email and posted to VA Elite social media and this website page by Sunday, October 11th
