13's Assistant Coach
Kim Scott enters her second season with Virginia Elite as an Assistant Coach with the 13s team. A multi-sport athlete, she played soccer, ran track in high school, and competed on the Sailing team at Brown University, where she raced two-person boats.
With more than a decade of coaching experience, Scott has coached across multiple age groups and programs. Her background includes one season as the Assistant JV Coach at Madeira School, four seasons with No Panic Volleyball Club (where she served as Juniors Director, 13s and 14s Head Coach, and Assistant Coach for 16s), two seasons with Vienna Elite (as an Assistant Coach for 12s and 13s), and three seasons with VYI, working with 4th–6th graders. She is Gold Medal Squared Certified and holds a USAV CAP I certification from USA Volleyball.
In her first season with Virginia Elite, Scott was part of the inaugural 12s staff that led the team to the highest win percentage in the club and top-10 finishes in every tournament except one—an outstanding debut season for the program.
Scott earned a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University, a Master’s in European Business Law from Lund University in Sweden, and a Graduate Certificate in Landscape Design from George Washington University. A mom of three daughters, she lives with her husband in McLean, Virginia, and works as an On-Site Landscape Design Resource at Merrifield Garden Center.
