Mehdi El Errebbaa (Big Mehdi)

Entering his second season at Virginia Elite, Mehdi El Errebbaa “Big Mehdi,” brings a highly impressive resume of coaching and playing at the club, high school, collegiate and international levels to Virginia Elite. A Morocco native, Errebbaa began playing at the age of 10 and continued well into the professional ranks overseas. As part of a championship team, Errebbaa helped secure five Moroccan Championship titles, five Moroccan Cup victories, and two Moroccan Super Cup wins. He also represented Morocco on the National Youth and Junior teams.
Errebbaa brings with him over 20 years of coaching experience which spans both international and domestic arenas. While in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), he served as an assistant coach for two prestigious professional clubs—AL JAZEERA and BANIYAS Volleyball Clubs in Abu Dhabi. In the United States, Errebbaa has contributed his expertise to renowned volleyball programs, such as Momentum Volleyball Club in Chicago and OTVA in Orlando helping them continuously emerge as top national level clubs. Most recently, Errebbaa served as a Head Coach with Evolution Volleyball Club in Alexandria and Virginia United.
After moving to the Virginia Area, Errebbaa was the Varsity Assistant Coach for Bishop O’Connell High School, Varsity Head Coach for Georgetown Visitation High School in Washington DC and Assistant Coach at Division III - The Catholic University of America in Washington DC.
Errebbaa currently resides in Springfield, VA and works as an Executive Pastry Chef with Root and Stem Catering.
