Michelle Allday
13's Assistant Coach
Michelle Allday joins Virginia Elite for her first season as the 13s Assistant Coach, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience as both a player and a coach. After graduating college, she began coaching with Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) and Fauquier High School, and more recently helped lead Providence Academy’s middle school team to an undefeated conference season.
Michelle’s playing career began at age 12 and includes years of competition at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. She played for Cape Coast Volleyball Club and Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, Florida, before moving on to Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. At Furman, she was a four-year starter at setter, a two-year team captain, and earned a spot on the 2003 Southern Conference Preseason All-Conference Team. Her senior season was cut short by injury.
Off the court, Michelle pursued medicine, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Furman and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She spent nearly a decade as an orthopedic surgery PA before stepping away to launch and grow several businesses with her family. Today, she is the owner of Rush Bowls (Brambleton and Ashbrook Commons) and HOTWORX Infrared Fitness Studios (Stone Ridge and Ashburn Farm).
Passionate about teaching all positions but especially setters, Michelle loves helping athletes grow their confidence, decision-making, and overall volleyball IQ. Originally from Satellite Beach, Florida, she now lives in Aldie, Virginia, with her husband and three children, a 13-year-old daughter, a 7-year-old daughter, and a 5-year-old son.
