
Daamir Robinson
16's Assistant Coach
Daamir Robinson joins his first year with Virginia Elite as the 16s Assistant Coach. Before this, he spent a half season assisting with the 15s team before taking on his current role.
Daamir has coached at both the collegiate and club levels for boys and girls, including a season as Women’s Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach at Carleton College, where he focused on developing middle hitters. He has also served as Head Coach and Assistant Coach for boys and girls teams at Northern Lights Juniors in Minnesota and East Coast Power in Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is currently the JV Assistant Coach at Holton-Arms School.
As a player, Daamir competed for Northeast High School in Philadelphia, earning First Team All-League and Honorable Mention All-League honors. He played club volleyball with East Coast Power and Philadelphia Volleyball Club. Daamir was recruited to play both volleyball and track at the collegiate level, but ultimately chose to compete in track while playing club volleyball. In total, he brings 11 years of combined playing and coaching experience to the court.
Daamir earned a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Carleton College. Originally from Philadelphia, he now resides in Washington, D.C. as the Associate Director of College Counseling at Holton-Arms School.
