Sara Apanavicius
Floater Coach
Sara Apanavicius enters her third year with Virginia Elite as a 17's Assistant Coach. Apanavicius joins the club after a highly accomplished collegiate career with the University of Rochester, where she was recognized as a 2018 University Athletic Association Player of the Week and 2019 University Athletic Association Honorable Mention. Before college, Apanavicius played for five years at Eastside Volleyball Club. She then went on to serve as head coach of one of Eastside’s 13’s teams.
Apanavicius graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. She currently resides in Arlington, Virginia, and works as a Technical Program Analyst, along with being an Assistant Coach at Catholic University.
